Maria Torres
Assistant Director of Resident Services
Maria began her journey with Pacific Housing, Inc. in 2019 as a Resident Services Specialist. Choosing to pursue a new direction with another well-known non- profit agency in Sacramento, Maria worked exclusively on a Youth HUD project providing wrap around case management services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The goal was to find permanent supportive housing for those clients. In addition, she worked on a college initiative project that supported Sacramento State students experiencing homelessness and/or housing insecurities. The goal, supporting those students in completion of their degree and transition into permanent housing. During this time Maria developed strong partnerships with community agencies and found great success individually and with her team.
Maria returned to PHI in 2022 as a Resident Services Manager. She utilizes her educational experience, community work, and previous experience as a Resident Services Specialist, to oversee resident services programs. Her strength is creating an environment that supports her team in their own professional development while allowing them to do the work through their passions. In her role, Maria works directly with the Managing Director focusing on compliance requirements and developing new strategies.
