Maria began her journey with Pacific Housing, Inc. in 2019 as a Resident Services Specialist. Choosing to pursue a new direction with another well-known non-profit agency in Sacramento, Maria worked on Rapid Re-Housing and Permanent Support Housing programs providing wrap-around case management services to individuals, families and Sacramento State students experiencing homelessness and housing insecurities. During this time Maria developed strong partnerships with community agencies and found great success individually and with her team.

Maria returned to Pacific Housing, Inc. in 2022 as a Resident Services Manager, has served as the Assistant Director of Resident Services and as of 2025 is stepping into the role of Managing Director of Resident Services. In this role, Maria is responsible for the overall direction, development, and evaluation of resident service employees and programs. She utilizes her educational experience, community work, and previous experience as a Resident Services Specialist to oversee resident services programs.  Her strength is creating an environment that supports her team in their own professional development while allowing them to do the work through their passions. 

Maria is from Sacramento and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Counseling and Social Change from San Diego State University. She also received a Non-Profit Management Certificate from Sonoma State University.
